Some very interesting thoughts here re: not thinking about learning it on your own; believing what your school said about you not knowing French, so you couldn't take Spanish. I believe there should be a balance in the school system between what children and the school system want. How many dreams do adults crush by lying to children about what's possible and what's not? And telling people not to learn something because of a learning struggle... how limiting.
Good for you to follow your calling to live in Spain, too! I absolutely believe we're meant to live somewhere (I'm still yearning for a life in Ireland!). So often, logic kills our childhood dreams, right? We get attached to why we think we're supposed to be somewhere, too—this move was obviously so necessary for your life!
